You might have good reason to be wary of selling your new products on eBay. But their Pulse research tool is still great for investigating hot products selling on the Internet.

Remember - developing a product with keywords that people are already searching on the Internet is the fastest way to earn a living from your new idea. 

Follow these 5 steps to use the eBay Pulse tool:

1. Go to http://pulse.ebay.com or http://pulse.ebay.co.uk (depending on your location)
2. Select the Category you want to explore from the drop-down menu just below the "eBay pulse" header
3. Review the 10 "Popular Searches" of the day and "Most Watched Items"
4. To get more specific, use the drop-down menu again to see most popular items in the sub-categories
5. Keep drilling down and exploring the sub-categories to build a picture of real buyer demand on the Internet
