Wallace & Grommit are on a long-standing mission to get everyone innovating

Aardman, the Bristol-based production company responsible for those lovable and inventive characters, Wallace & Grommit, are stepping up the hunt for more crackingly ingenious ideas to feature in a new BBC One prime time television series.

The series will be fronted by the clay characters, but feature real-life inventors and inventions from around the globe.

It might be that you've worked on an idea that's never quite got off the ground. Aardman are looking to feature the stories behind quirky ideas that didn't make it off the drawing board, no matter how long they've been there.

And if you've currently got the next big thing in development - be it exciting contraption, gadget or invention - down tools now and get in touch with Aardman researcher Lucy immediately.

I met with Lucy last week and I'm helping push She's Ingenious! Members her way. IF they're ready enough with their idea and they've got the right protection for their IP. Lucy's building a portfolio of ideas NOW and they hope to have filming scheduled by the end of the year. 

Just be careful that you've got the right protection in place for your Intellectual Property before you disclose the nuts and bolts of your idea.
